I’m Shijie Zhong — also known as Williams. I study Health Sciences and Technology at ETH Zurich, build new ideas with ambitious teams, and bring the perspective of a former alpine ski racer to everything I do.
01 / About
My path crosses sport, science, technology, and leadership. Training and competing taught me precision and resilience; studying at ETH Zurich gives me new ways to examine how people move, learn, and make decisions.
I’m especially interested in AI and programming, and in working with people who turn thoughtful ideas into useful tools. I speak Mandarin, German, and English fluently and have built connections across China and Europe.

01 / Movement technology
I initiated an early-stage project with a team at ETH Zurich. Full-body sensors collect movement data while software our team is developing analyzes skiing technique and precision. It connects first-hand experience in sport with technical exploration.
02 / Learning & AI
Lumi is an iOS learning project I’m building around mental models. Its private TestFlight beta offers short daily concept cards, Socratic AI conversations, review exercises, and home-screen widgets to make reflective learning a regular habit.

I previously served as a volunteer firefighter, learning to contribute and take responsibility in a team.
Mathematics
My mathematics competitions include a Carinthian state title, regional olympiad prizes, second place at Bolyai in 2025, and first places at Náboj in Villach in 2024 and 2025.
04 / Skiing
China’s 14th National Winter Games · Youth men
I trained with SC Gerlitzen in Austria, a club associated with Helmut “Heli” Mayer and Matthias Mayer. My training also included Race Center Benni Raich and the Hermann Maier Academy in Flachau.
Skiing has connected me with people, training environments, and information resources in China, Austria, Switzerland, and Italy.
